Welcome to the Flock! 🐓

We’re Yarn ChickHen with Mrs T & Friends — and you, yes YOU, are the Friends. Every viewer, every maker, every yarn lover who joins us is part of our ever-growing Flock. Pull up a chair, grab your yarn, and make yourself at home.

Why Yarn ChickHen?

Any knitter or crocheter worth their wool knows the heart-pounding game of Yarn Chicken — that nail-biting moment when you’re racing to finish a project and you’re not sure if you’ll have enough yarn. Will you make it? Won’t you? In America, girls are called chicks. In Scotland, they’re called hens. So Mrs T — being the Chick — and Mr T — being the Hen — combined them into Yarn ChickHen. Yes, Mr T is aware he’s the hen. He’s fine with it. Mostly. 😄

Mrs T — The Chick 🐣

Originally from Colorado with family in Florida, Mrs T has been knitting since she was a child. She taught herself to crochet entirely from books before YouTube existed — no tutorials, no videos, just sheer determination and a lot of unpicking. She’s the creative force in front of the camera, sharing tutorials, finished objects, patterns and miniature knitting. She also supports the Denver Broncos, so don’t mention it if they’ve lost. 🏈

Mr T — The Hen (aka The GOG) 🐔

Scottish, opinionated, and reluctantly crafty. Mr T is the tech brain behind the camera — filming, editing, and keeping everything running. His favourite colour is blue, and he’s a proud Rangers supporter. 🔵 He took up loom knitting during the COVID pandemic with Mrs T’s help, and recently started crocheting. He also has his own channel — GOG Explorers — where he covers tech and travel. We affectionately call him the GOG (Grumpy Old Git). He knows. He doesn’t mind. Much. 😄

Our Story

The channel launched on 1st December 2025 — but only because the night before, Mrs T turned to Mr T and said she wanted to start a YouTube channel. By the next morning, it existed. They jumped straight into Vlogmas, releasing a video every single day in most of December until Christmas. Then Mr T got his own back — the day before 1st June 2026, he announced they’d be taking part in the June Vlogging Challenge. A video every day in June. They are currently surviving it. 🧶
