We are officially back after surviving our 30-day June vlogging challenge! Today, Mrs T has been busy making two absolutely brilliant load cats. First up is a sleek, long black cat using the fantastic "No Sew Black Cat Amigurumi" pattern from Stringy Ding Ding (https://stringydingding.com/no-sew-black-cat-amigurumi-free-crochet-pattern/). Next is a beautifully plump, shorter-bodied blue cat using the cute pattern from Stitch by Fay (https://www.stitchbyfay.com/crochet-cat-pattern/). Keep an eye out for their tails—they are a special little homage to Mrs T's fur-nephew, DibDab, and his famous tail positioning! To top it all off, today's Scottish Word of the Day is "HOOSE" (house). Mr T takes great delight in testing Mrs T’s accent with the classic phrase: "There's a Moose Loose Aboot the Hoose"—proving once and for all exactly where Canadians get their "aboot" pronunciation from! Welcome to Day 28 of our June daily vlogging challenge on Yarn ChickHen! In today's video, Mr T has finally finished his latest absolute beginner project: a brilliant, superchunky blue "no-sew" rubber duck! 🦆 He is absolutely chuffed with how it turned out, and it's now proudly keeping company with his other beginner creations—Amigo Roguey the Golden Oriole and the octopus twins. Mrs T steps in to cast a tutor's eye over the finished piece. Together, they sit down to discuss the ins and outs of amigurumi stuffing—an art form that definitely gets better with practice! Welcome back to Yarn ChickHen with Mrs T and Friends! 🐔✨ In this daily vlog, we are taking you along for a little tour of the brilliant Leith Collective at Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh! We have been feeling a bit stuck in a creative rut lately, but this trip completely gave us our "crojo" (crochet mojo) back! We explore the shop with a special focus on the incredible independent yarn artists displaying their gorgeous handmade wares. From beautiful knitted clothes to a stunning scarf using our absolute favourite—the garter stitch—there is so much texture and colour to take in. We also take a close look at the fantastic collection of knitted and crochet plushies on display. Keep an eye out for the gorgeous mini plushies... anyone fancy a mini turtle?!
